Practice Statement

At Patriarche, our approach to architecture is defined by “augmented architecture”—a multidisciplinary platform that supports every stage of a project, from concept to completion and beyond. Within this framework, our in-house model making team plays a pivotal role in translating ideas into tangible forms. By working closely with architects and project teams, our model makers ensure a deep understanding of each project’s intent, enabling rapid iteration and seamless integration of feedback as the design evolves.

Physical models are more than just representations; they are immersive tools that foster engagement, facilitate decision-making, and bring clarity to complex architectural concepts. This collaborative spirit and technical expertise are at the heart of our practice. Model Making and Resources Our model making studio is equipped to work at every scale, from site-wide context models to detailed interior studies. • Scales: Small-scale models highlight a project’s integration into its environment (natural, urban, or infrastructural), while larger scales reveal materiality, façade details, and interior layouts. • Materials: We use a wide range of materials—wood, PVC, PMMA (plexiglass), metal, and more—to best express each project’s unique character. Interactive features and lighting can be incorporated to enhance presentation and engagement. • Purposes: Some models are crafted as refined presentation pieces, ideal for client meetings or display in reception areas. Others are designed as working tools, allowing teams to test scenarios, move elements, or explore extensions. • Creative scope: Beyond architectural models, our team produces original and creative objects—boxes, games, engravings, unique pieces—and prototypes for signage, often in collaboration with our narrative design team. This versatility supports a sensitive, cultural, and multidisciplinary approach to every project.
